Orchid Water

This is definitely Tom Ford's Black Orchid twin sister Orchid Water the bright sunshine little sister. The facet of Orchid, Spices, Fruity notes, Jasmine, vanilla and the watery Lotus, with the brightness of some citrus note, maybe bergamot or mandarin that tickles my senses with a bit of spice and something smooth. I can't put my finger on it, but its very silky. I had a sample of the original Black Orchid, which I might buy later on, but I'm definitely in love with the Oakcha version. It lasted on me about 5 hours on skin, but stayed forever on my clothes until I wash it on laundry day. However, for now on my skin, it's at least 5 hours and it's moderate projection.

I prefer Tom Ford's Velvet Orchid instead of Black Orchid, but seeing as how I haven't found a sufficient dupe for that one, I thought I would give this one a try. It definitely does smell like Black Orchid, but much better in my opinion. It's so light and elegant! To me it smells very aquatic, like a nice summer morning at the beach. I do wish the Gardenia lasted longer, but the Orchid and Amber smell beautiful together. If you're familiar with the feminine archetypes, think sage meets the mystic. Very unique, I love it!
