Jammy, shadowy, and laced with saffron, Eclipse is a Fruity–Woody Extrait de Parfum inspired by Byredo Rouge Chaotique. Tart cassis deepens into ripe plum and slowly fades into deep agarwood — enigmatic, refined, and quietly daring.

The fragrance opens with saffron, cassis, bergamot, and lemon, a vivid, spiced brightness. At the heart, plum, praline, and oak ripen into a sweet, mellow depth. As it settles, agarwood, patchouli, and papyrus draw the composition into a dry, shadowy finish.

    Uncommon and enchanting, very nice indeed.

    Fruity leather with tart plum & cassis, not overtly sweet. After a brief, bright opening you get saffron & papyrus, then a bit of praline and a fairly gentle oud note with hints of oak & patchouli blend nicely into a dry woody/leathery base that smells a little like old books. Dark & haunting, a sexy vampire scent. Sultry, mysterious & extraordinary - nothing like run-of-the-mill designer offerings. And it doesn't seem to have the 'cheap' vibe often associated with clone fragrances.

    I'd say it's quite unisex: leans masculine on my skin yet I can imagine this working really well on a woman.

    Powerful juice - extrait strength - so a few light sprays are enough. Fairly dynamic & rather longlasting (and it might perform even better once it's aerated a bit). For now, I'm getting 6 hours endurance from a fresh just-opened bottle. Projection is more than intimate, yet not annoyingly loud - it speaks but does not scream - and the scent bubble lasts 1½-2 hours, with lovely sillage lingering beyond that. Also, it's one of those fragrances that rise again when your skin warms underneath it. One may go a bit noseblind, but for those nearby the scent persists. To be clear, though, Eclipse doesn't seem to be heavily loaded down with aromachemicals.

    One minor caveat: be a bit cautious spraying on fabric; this may leave pink stains on light colored clothing.

    Better suited to Fall & Winter than to hot weather, but I'd rock this for cool evenings year round. A little too exotic to…

    Wow!!! Perfect blind buy… I searched for notes I like from multiple other fragrances (Bond No 9 New Haarlem, Killian’s Angels Share, Maison Margiella’s Jazz Club) and decided on this one as the best combo of patchouli, oak moss, lemon, pepper and then something that differentiates it with plum and saffron! It’s fruit forward, almost a dark rich jam - NOT overly sweet/childish/like candy. It’s soft and powdery but also spicy, very sophisticated and sexy! It’s not overpowering but definitely noticeable when you walk into a room!
