    My Honest Take on Oakcha's Gourmand Scents

    If you’ve never tried Oakcha, this is the way to go! You get a coupon code for a future purchase, so it’s a total win-win. After sampling the collection on skin, I ended up buying Vanilla Gelato and Lemon Cake.

    Vanilla Gelato smells exactly like gelato on a hot day—melting and dripping down the cone in the summer sun. It’s sweet vanilla that dries down light and creamy. Lemon Cake starts off smelling like fresh Italian lemon ice but then transforms into a buttery lemon pound cake as it dries down.

    This is definitely my favorite Oakcha collection. Next up, I’m planning to get Marshmallow Mist since it’s perfect for layering. I also hope to grab Caramel Brew and Berry Bonbon in the fall. Nectar Whirl was my least favorite because of the patchouli. Unfortunately, patchouli develops an off-note on my skin and overpowers the rest of the composition, so I can’t give an accurate review of patchouli fragrances. However, on the tester strip, Nectar Whirl has a robust coconut and almond opening, and as it dries down, I almost get a sweet candied dark cherry scent—probably from the almond. It smells expensive and could be a great evening fragrance if you are a fan of patchouli.

    The Gourmand Collection is a solid 10/10 for me since the scents cover every occasion, climate, and season. Check them out—you can thank me later!

    Gourmand Sample Set Review.

    I have to say I was going into this with an open mind as I had only just gotten the Candy Sample Set. So I was really wanting to like the scents. I love all the scents each for a different reason. None of them have made me feel sick or headache feeling. Which is what I look for in a perfume. I would have to say that out of the 6 bottles, only 5 of them smelled like they did. The last one Carmel Brew smelled like alcohol to my fiancé in the bottle but he liked it on me. Which made me wonder if it was his or my nose. Though I have to say I liked each one for a certain reason. I even organized them in the scents I want to least want. But I want to one day have them all.

    Just like comfort food these fragrance evoke warm and cuddly sensations. I'm super surprised how much I enjoy Nectar Whirl. That fragrance and a fluffy sweater.... Can't beat it on a cold day.

    Best dabbers ever!

    These fragrances are all absolutely delicious, but I was actually more impressed by the packaging! I was so happy to see the soft silicone stoppers on these dabbers. I've been struggling with rheumatoid arthritis since I was a kid and have such a difficult time with my grip strength. These opened so nicely and I was over the moon that I didn't need anyone to help me open them!
