Melting embers is a very cozy warm scent. It embodies the fall or winter time fireplace sweet desserts, chilling type atmosphere. I know I know that’s a long stretch but if you smell it, you’ll see exactly what I’m speaking of. I feel like Oakcha has done a great job of emulating the scent by Mason Margiela. Don’t be scared. It’s really nice. Try it out.

When I first smelled this, I felt like it was identical to the original :)

After comparing the original side by side, Oakchas version initially had more of an alcohol scent. When they dried down, the original went into a more bitter dry direction, while Oakcha went into a more sweet finish. Almost like gasoline vs Jäegermeister. That’s a silly comparison, but to give an example. Some may consider the sweeter finish more desirable!

It’s not as strong as other Oakcha fragrances I own, but neither is the original scent it’s replicating.

It does a great job getting the job done, and most people wouldn’t detect much of a difference.
