Sapphire 7 is inspired by Baccarat - Les Larmes Sacrees de Thebes, with only 6 bottles created and each ounce selling for $7,000. The fragrance, called the Sacred Tears of Thebes, was inspired by Egypt and King Tut's tomb. The fragrance opens on a floral spicy note with Egyptian cassie and Pepper flower, settles with a heart of jasmine and rose, and lingers with base notes of balsam and myrrh.

    Pleasantly surprised

    I was a little worried about this fragrance initially but it smells beautifully. It’s so fresh and feminine and I’m so glad I ordered it. I had a bit of trouble with shipping and delivery but once receiving the fragrance I’m glad I got it.

    Lancôme L’Idole dupe

    It is a nice floral scent. To my nose at least, a close dupe of Lancôme L’Idole, but L’Idole is stronger and longer lasting. Sapphire is a bit softer in the drydown. Near identical notes: chypre fragrance with pink pepper, jasmine, rose.

    I do not know about the listed inspiration fragrance, as I’ve never smelled it, but I am wearing L’Idole in the backs of my hands and Emerald on my wrists, and they smell VERY similar.

    You can buy L’Idole for around $75 (same size), so this is a little cheaper, but not much. Buy this if you like L’Idole but find it a bit overbearing.

    Blind buy!

    At first I did not like it but I'm glad I didn't give up on this fragrance. I have fallin in love. I even splash a little on @ night before bed. 😊
